Began murdering perfectly good songs as a drummer in bands at the
turn of the millennium. Then started writing songs of my own on guitar
shortly after completely incestuous in terms of influence and
style and playing them with whoever; Graeme Stephen, John Mitchell (folk
band Green) amongst others.
Went to college to study music and learn a few more notes, avoiding
taxes and shitty soul-draining part-time jobs, instead doing various
session work both on strings and skins around Aberdeen.
Joined the Simon Gall Band on drums, a total rammy of jazz, gavotte,
soul, prog and porno music. Disintegrated before achieving our full
potential. Then in the rubble and smoke found Divine Davy, beginning
a musical voyage which continues to soar through assorted constillations.
Now working mainly with Davy and the Pictones, also collaborating
with the sublime harp-playing of Spider MacKenzie as a duet and providing
a vague kind of rhythm at local jazz gigs and with various fellow singer-songwriters.
