Some of her previous adventures include seven years performing with folk band Solan whilst living in Shetland. Studying for a degree in music at SOAS in London she dabbled in klezmer tunes, west African kora and Zimbabwean mbira. She is now based in Aberdeen as a PhD research student looking into the gospel singing traditions of North-east Scotland.
